Notebook Memory Installation Instructions

The best bet for installing memory into your notebook is to follow the instructions on your computer manufacturers website or manual you received in the packaging when you bought your computer. If you can’t find those, these notebook installation instructions will have to do.
Memory or RAM is a pretty easy thing to install into a computer. In a notebook (laptop), the memory is located on the reverse side of the computer.
- Make sure the laptop is off
- Turn the laptop over so the bottom of the laptop is facing you
- Unplug the power cord, remove the battery
- Locate the metal plate that is protecting your memory
- Use a screw driver and unscrew the metal plate
- Install the new memory
- Put the metal plate back
- Screw the plate back on
- Put the batter back in the computer
- Turn the computer on
Ten steps. Not to bad. I could have removed a few steps from the notebook memory installation instructions. Most important part is making sure now power is going to the laptop. Then you unscrew the back of the computer add the memory, and put things back how they were.
